Back in the Groove!

Another post. Finally figuring the blog out. It has been a while. I miss so many of my friends who have passed and my son. All gone too soon.

I am distressed about the path our country is taking under the current administration. I was in local politics for 9 years. We looked for win-win solutions and maintained public decorum. Enough said.

I painted this for a final in college. I passed the course. Glad to be done with it and left it in my room when I left. My dear friend Adair (the keeper of all things) arrived years later in Sarasota and handed the canvas to Jack. He loved it and made me sign it and had it framed. It lives in our den now. RIP Adair. She removed the "goody two shoes" from my persona.

After college, Rich and I lived in Mystic. I went to flea market fundraiser and fell in love with an antique scrap quilt for 250.00. I wasn't going to spend the amount when I was sure I could make one myself. So....$$$$$$$ later I did. I have made over 80 quilts. Love them all.

New Orleans Star a design from Kaffe Fassett Hangs on the wall in our bedroom.

Wensleydale in progress. All hand stitched.

Big job ahead.....
